In any case, Cohort 24 had a great time representing at SERA. I am so proud to be part of such an amazing program and privileged to be among such wonderful people.
Cohort 24 after presenting our group paper (to a great deal of positive feedback)!
Celebrating in the evening. We will get there, bird by bird!
Even though I had a wonderful "grown-up" time at the conference, I was very excited to get home on Friday afternoon. Because Daddy had Habitat again on Saturday, Little Buddy and I had plenty of time to catch up. I decided to take him to try park near our house that we hadn't been to yet. It was fantastic and I know we will be back often.
Checking out the play structure.
They had a really cool climbing wall.
He loved climbing up as fast as he could and then heading to...
...the slide!
My knight in shining armor!
We ended our playtime with lunch at a Mexican restaurant we had wanted to try. The food was just ok, but we had fun on our lunch date. How could you not have fun with guy across the table from you?
I'm not going to lie; trying to keep up the weekly blog this year has been difficult. It's been hard for me to remember what we did all week come Saturday, and my own habits of documenting each day from last year are dying hard. Plus, school is trying to kick my behind and I am not sure if this blog should focus on Little Buddy or on our family as a whole. I am still trying to get into the groove with this blog and find a compromise between memories and time demands, so hang in there. It should get more fluid soon, or else I will change up the format or goals. It's nice to be in charge. ;)
Night all,
LBM
